Kambri has grown so much in the last few months it's hard to believe a year ago she was a little baby. Kambri makes us laugh everyday with the funny things she does. She likes to copy Courtney and I, and loves to wear my bras. She is always pulling them out of my drawer and putting them over her head.
Since Kambri was little we have taken her clothes off to eat because I HATE it when she is messy. My mom always told me it was a bad habit, because she would start to think she needs to be naked to eat. The last few weeks when Kambri gets ready to eat she starts to pull her shirt off to eat.
Now that Kambri is getting older we are starting to see her little personality come through. When she gets made she throws her self on the floor and screams. When she is done with her dinner she runs her hand back and forth over her tray and food goes flying. If she is really mad at us she will slam her hand down and then cry because she hurt herself. She is going to be just like me!
Now that it's getting warmer and we are able to out and play she loves the slide and swing. The other day we were at our friends playing croquet and she kept running over the slide to play. When I wouldn't let her go over anymore she kicked and screamed.
Kambri is starting to talk a lot more. If we tell her a color or what something is she will repeat it back to us and nod her head. She has really liked saying NO the last 6 months, but is now starting to pick up on the meaning of NO and only says it if she really means it. It is really nice that she can tell us if she doesn't want something instead of cry because she doesn't want it.
Kambri has really been interested in the potty the last few weeks. She really likes to sit on it and then throw toilet paper in and flush. The other day I was getting ready and she kept saying peepee and trying to get on the potty. I think we sat on the potty 20 times. Once we move I think I'll start potty training her.
Kambri has always been a big help, but the last few month is an even bigger help. She is really good at unloading the dishwasher while we load it. She will help put soap in the dishwater, fix the vacuum and make dinner.
Last week she was helping me make lunch and wanted her cereal. I took it down and she was going to help pour it. When I turned back around it was all over the floor. There is no way I could get mad at her because she was trying so hard to be helpful. I'm sure if she wasn't eating she would have loved to help sweep up the mess.
A few days ago I was on the phone and not really paying attention to what Kambri was doing, when I looked over she was doing the exercises that her dad does for his physical therapy. She is now starting help pick Jordi up by his collar and lift him over the kitchen gate. It's crazy how they catch on to things that you do.
Kambri really loves to be on our bed. If she is watching TV in our room she loves to kick back and cross her legs. We will sometimes find her on our bed kicked back. Lately when we ask if she wants to go night night she will run and crawl up on our bed.
Kambri has recently learned how to close doors. I will often hear her in her room saying bye bye and closing the door. If Kambri and I are in the bathroom she will often say bye bye to her dad and close the door. She is almost tall enough to start opening the doors. I guess it's time to do some more baby proofing.
Kambri loves to color. She will color on whatever she can find. A few times she has found the wall to color on. Courtney must have told her it was not okay to color on the walls, because the other day she colored on the kitchen gate and kept saying Uh Oh dada.
Kambri is getting so big and learning new things everyday. I can't wait to be home with her to start teaching her more words, colors and shapes. I'm excited to be the one to take her to the park and get her ready for the day. I'm excited to stay at home with my cute little girl.
