Stranded

This holiday has already been one of adventure. It all started out on Tuesday night, when we went shopping for water and food to take with us when we traveled the next day. I had heard about this "blizzard" and thought it would be good to bring some food and water just in case something happened. So, Wednesday afternoon we started on our way to Emery County. We were having a good ride, the baby was sleeping and Jordi wasn't crying. We started up Salina canyon, and Courtney's Rodeo started to make funny sounds. He said he thought it was a belt. I told him not to worry too much because my car made the same sound for 3 years till i fixed the belt. I don't know about him, but i decided it wasn't a big deal and we would have my dad fix it when we got to Castle Dale. About 15 miles from the turn off to Castle Dale, the car just turned off. Courtney pulled over and got out of the car to take a look. When he came back in the car he said the S belt had just broke. I only started to freak out a little, but I knew i had to keep Courtney positive, so i put my worries behind. Courtney flagged down a car that was headed to Salt Lake (They were lost, we got them turned around the right way though) they said they would call my dad when they got phone service (yes we had no phone service). I told him just in case to flag down another car. The next car called my dad about 10-15 minutes after he left us and told my dad to get some parts and come fix the car. While we were waiting we saw my cousin drive past us. He put his brakes on and we were so excited he was going to stop. He didn't stop though we just watched his car drive around the bend. (It's okay Brandon i realized you didn't know it was us for sure) After our hopes of being rescued were smashed a cop drove up. He told us the safest thing was to call a tow truck, and away he went to call for a tow. 90 minutes and $145 later we were safe in Emery. Right after we got off the freeway we saw my dad driving to save us. He was too caught up in his book he didn't even notice us. I was lucky enough to get phone service and was lucky that the only part of the conversation my dad caught was turn around. We waited in Emery for 5 minutes and my dad came and rescued us. Thanks dad. I was so thankful that we broke down where we did for a few reasons.
1. We were in the only spot where there was sun. It was 10 degrees outside.
2. We were close enough to Emery that it didn't cost too much for the tow, and my dad was able to come fix our car.
3. We had planned and backed lost of blankets and food and water.
4. We were going up a hill. Courtney said it was hard for him to brake and hard for him to turn.
It had been an adventure so far and we can't wait to see what else happens. It'll be a Thanksgiving to remember.

My how time flies

October 18 November 18

I can't believe it has been a month already. I wanted to cry when i thought about it today. I don't want my little girl to grow up. The time goes by so fast. I'm so glad that Kambri is in our life. I don't know what we did without her. It's fun to hear all new noises that she makes and the faces. She is awake most of the day, but still doesn't sleep too long at night. At least she learned her days from nights.
Kambri I hope you know that mommy and daddy love you so much. We are so glad that you are in our lives. You bring so much joy into our lives. You can smile a little right now and are just starting to discover you voice. You have the cuties little voice and i can't wait till you start to coo a little more. Mommy and daddy love to spend as much time with you as we can. Kambri we love each new day and can't wait to see what new thing you will do that day. Kambri we love you

Smiles

I know it's a little early for Kambri to smile, but she does smile. She smiles real big when i sing Emergency by Ace Enders and a Million Different People.

Kambri's blessing

Kambri was blessed on Sunday November 14, 2010. It was such a great weekend with lots of family. We loved spending time with our family. We got to meet Austin for the first time. She is so much bigger then Kambri.

Sunday was a crazy day with church being so early and with all the people in small apartment, but it was so much fun. Kambri got to meet some of her grandparents for the first time, and they sure did love her. It was also Courtney's sisters first time meeting Kambri. Kambri sure did love all her aunts and grandparents.

Courtney did such a good job on Kambri's blessing. I cried and then i cried when i though about it. It was a beautiful blessing. I am so glad that Courtney has the authority to bless Kambri. I couldn't ask for a better husband. He loves Kambri so much, and would do anything for her. He loves to spend time with just him and Kambri.

It was good to have our good friends Trent and Natalie at the blessing. We have some wonderful friends. We like to call their little boy Jantz Kambri's boyfriend, so of course we had to get pictures of the cute kids. Jantz loved to play with Kambri's dress and kept wanting to touch her bow in her hair. Isn't he so cute?

It was such a wonderful weekend and we are so grateful for all the family that made the trip down here for Kambri.

First day at church

Even though Kambri is only 3 weeks old we decided it was okay for her to make her first appearance at church on Sunday. She did such an amazing job at church. She only made one little peep and that was because i woke her up. She even went with he daddy He was such a proud father. It was so cute. She is such a good baby. We love her so much. We are very proud parents.

Courtney and Kambri Adventures

Thursday Natalie so was so thoughtful and said she would watch Kambri for us while we were at school. Thanks Natalie. I knew i needed to get Kambri ready to go before i left at 8, so I got up early an got myself ready, and then got Kambri all ready with her diaper bag packed. I showed Courtney how to use the bottle warmer, and when i left him feeding her her first ounce and the second was warming up. After i left it took Kambri 15 minutes to eat her first ounce and Courtney needed to be out the door at 8:30. By the time she was done eating her second ounce it was 8:30. He got Kambri in her car seat and she spit up. He then went to get his bag and one of the pockets was open, and everything fell out of it. He almost forgot his Physics book (the only class he had that day). When he went to walk out the door Jordi was sitting on the floor looking at him, so he had to set everything down to put him away. By the time he got in the car it was 8:50. When he finally made it to his class at 9:02 just in time to take his test. It makes me laugh, when i think of this story. I told him now he know what it's like being a mom. I hope this week goes by a little better for him.

Courtney is such an amazing dad. He never turns down the chance to be with Kambri even if it's changing her diaper. Kambri couldn't have asked for a better dad.

2 Weeks

Kambri is now 2 weeks old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. We took her for her 2 week check up, and she didn't even make her birth weight. She was 6lb 10oz 8%, 20.23in 49%, and head was 14' 40%. She is just a small little thing, and we hope she gains some more weight so she can be a chunky baby.
I started back to work and school this week. It's hard to leave Kambri, but it's only for a few hours. Next week is going to be really hard, because I'll work longer. I'm hoping that I get an interview for a job that I applied for. They said they would call me this week for an interview, but I haven't heard from them yet.

Halloween

Kambri was too young to take out for Halloween, but we did dress her in her little costume to take pictures of her. My sister had this Hot Chili Pepper outfit she let us use for Kambri. I think she looks really cute in it. She wasn't too happy because she has just woke up and was hungry. It was a good Halloween.
