Kambri 1 years old

Kambri just turned ONE! I cannot believe how fast that time has gone by.

Stats:
Weight: 18lb 12oz  13%
Height: 30in  76%
(We just took her to the doctor yesterday and she is up almost 1lb in a week)

Over the weekend we went the one of Courtney's friends home comings (or whatever they call them now) and decided to do a family Birthday party while we were there. I set out to have a rainbow themed party. I didn't really turn out like I imagined it in my head. It was a fun party though. My dad made smoked ribs, and beans and my grandpa made dutch oven potatoes (Kambri loves them).

Kambri would only take the marshmallows off her cake at first. I ended up shoving her hands in the cake and she did not like that. She doesn't like to get dirty (yes, I taught her that).

Rheagan and Hayley were very helpful in opening Kambri's gifts. All the kids loved playing with the toys after they opened them.

After the cake I took her in the bathroom and washed her off in the sink. I think she thought it was really cool that she was in the sink with the water on.

After the party we have a little photo shoot with all the grandkids. My mom got them all matching dresses. It was really hard to get all the kids to take a good picture, because most of them needed a nap. We'll have to try harder next time.

After playing with her girl cousins she was able to able to go and play with Titus. They loved playing the piano with grandpa Ivory.

Friends Birthday party

I am a little behind on the posts. This actually was a few weekends ago. This weekends we decided we were going to go to the temple with a few friends and then hit Staheli Family Farms. Me and Natalie went to the Temple first and then Courtney and Trent. After we got out I did a mini photo shoot with Kambri on the stairs of the Temple.

After the Temple we did a little shopping and then headed out the Staheli Family Farms. We first started out by taking our picture in this cute little thing.
After we headed to this trampoline thing. This ended up being all out favorite.

The last part of the night we headed over to the corn maze. it wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be. Courtney and I decided we would do rock, paper, scissors to decided what way we should go in the maze. We ended up taking a lot of left turns.

Since Kambri's Birthday was on a Tuesday I took the day off so we could have a friends Birthday party. We only invited a few friends and it was a lot of fun. Kambri loves all her new toys.

After we opened the gifts we played on the play ground. Kambri loves the swings and she is now starting to like the slide. Her favorite was this pipe that you can walk through.

Kambri 11 months

Kambri is almost 1! It makes me sad to think that she has grown so much. I see new babies and I cannot even remember her being that small. It makes me want another baby!
Kambri has really only wanted me for the last month. She cried when her dad takes her out of the tub and holds her. As soon as she gets in my arms she is just fine and happy.
The last few days Kambri has started to climb on things a lot. Her new thing is to try to climb on the couch. It makes her mad when she cannot get up and she'll throw herself down and cry while pounding her legs on the floor.
Kambri is now a full on walker. She walks all over the house. I try to get her to crawl, but it's like she has forgot how to do that. It's fun to see her walking. She has also learned to pat the ground when she wants to dog to come to her. She loves to tease the dog. She takes his toy and waves it in front of him and then runs to me to hide. She thinks it's so funny to tease him.
Last Friday we got to see the fireworks at the SUU homecoming festivities. Kambri loved them! She would just look at them and smile. By the time they were over she was laying on her stomach on the grass looking up at the fireworks.
Kambri is trying to learn how to talk. We think she says something, but it's just jabber. We are trying to encourage her to talk, and we know it will happen one day.
Kambri will only eat if she feeds herself and that tends to get a little messy. We try to only feed her messy food at the end of the day when she can go straight to the tub. We have just recently learned that if you put food on her tray to distract her you can also spoon feed her.(Which is nice)

Laying around the house

Over the last week we have been doing a lot of laying around the house. Last Monday when I went to pick up Kambri from Natalie's she said she had a fever of 102. After I heard that I felt like the worst mom in the world to let her daughter out of the house sick.
Tuesday we took Kambri to the doctor. She cried for 15 minutes after the doctor looked in her ear and cried even harder when she would look at the doctor. She ended up with an ear infection and he said double pink eye, but I don't think she really had pink eye.

The next day Courtney ended up getting sick, so I had to take care of both my children. Friday I was sick, but I didn't think I was as sick as I was. Once Sunday came around and I rested I have never felt that sick before. I glad I am feeling better today. Yesterday I was a little dramatic and told Courtney I just wanted to stop breathing because it hurt to bad.

I hope the next few days are going to be a lot better than last week.

Kambri

I have been really bad at posing about Kambri, so this post is dedicated to her. Kambri is almost 11 months old. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone and how much she has learned. A big milestone for Kambri has been that she has learned to walk. This video was taken a few days ago and now she will take off walking from where she is standing.
This last weekend Kambri's cousin Austin was here and Austin taught her how to stand up from a sitting position. While my mom and bother were here we took the kids to the splash pad in St. George and let the girls have fun in the water. The girls kept crawling on their hands and feet. It was the funniest thing. Kambri loves the water. I think she has the most fun when the water was shooting up.

Kambri learns so much everyday. We have been trying to teach her where her eyes, ears, mouth and nose are. She knows where her nose is and will sometimes show us where her eyes are. We will have to keep working on her.
Kambri has recently learned how to climb on things. She will climb on anything she can. I think her favorite thing is to climb on the back of our couch and look out the window. She really like to be outside. We don't go out much because I think the grass at our apartment complex is gross and I don't want to crawling around on it.

Kambri's hair is getting so long, so we decided we were going to put it in curlers. She looked so cute with them in, but we couldn't keep them in as long as we needed because we had to rush off to a parade. We'll have to try them again soon.
Kambri loves to watch Special Agent Oso. It has to been the dumbest children's show, but she really loves it. She doesn't sit and watch T.V, but she likes the music and will dance when music comes on. On Saturday when we are cleaning the house we listen to music and Kambri loves it. She really likes it when we dance with her.

Kambri was doing really well at eating her baby food, but lately she has not been eating lunch very well. She'll eat a few bites of the baby food and then start spitting it back at me. I don't know what to do. She really likes Grill Cheese, but I don't want to feed her that everyday for lunch. Any ideas on what i can feed an 11 month old for lunch?

Kambri does really well in the morning when she can eat a banana. She loves loves loves banana's!
We love our little girl so much and we are so glad she is in our lives. I cannot wait until I can be home with her all day and be a mom.

Catching Up!

July we decided to go to Lamb Days in Fountain Green. Courtney loves Lamb Days because of all the fun he had as a little kid. I think what he likes most about it is being with all the family. I know that is what I love most about it.

We made it to Fountain Green on Thursday night after work and hung out with the family. Friday all we did was lay around and I loved it. I loved that we didn't HAVE to be anywhere. Saturday was the fun day! Saturday is the parade. Courtney's grandpa has a few tractors that he put in the parade and Courtney drove one of them.

After the parade we had a family reunion with Courtney's grandpa's side of the family. I am not sure I had ever met any of that family before, so it was good to go. Before he headed to Castle Dale for my dad's 50th Birthday party we got pictures of Kambri and Titus on the tractor with their grandpa. We got other pictures, but our camera died just before we took them. :(

After the pictures we headed to Castle Dale for the party. Of course our camera was dead and we didn't get pictures. It was a lot of fun to hang out with the family. Sunday we went to my grandparents house for a little get together and then headed home.

The next weekend we went to Cedar Breaks with Logan, Carolyn and Daniel. We have lived here for 2 years and have never been! It was a lot of fun.

By the end of the hike Kambri got way tired and finally just fell asleep 1/2 mile from the car.

In August we went to the Emery County Fair and the concert that they have each year. We were not doing anything that weekend and on Saturday we just decided that we would go up to Castle Dale. We made it just in time for the Danny Gokey concert.

(Can you believe she fell asleep in the front row of a concert?)

The following week we were having a family home evening at the Temple. We decided that it might be fun to go down a little early and let Kambri play at the splash pad at the park in St. George. Kambri had fun playing in the waterfall.

It has been a fun summer and we are sad that it's over. I am glad this is my last semester and my last class before I graduate. Courtney has changed his plans and isn't doing athletic training anymore, so we are applying to PT school for next year. I am glad we are almost done at SUU and will be moving on to bigger and better things in a year!

4th of July

The weekend started off with a bookshelf re-due. My office got new furniture, and they were selling some things, so we got this bookshelf for $5. We decided we would paint it and fix it up and it would work just fine.

We like the way it turned out. It'll work well for what we need it for.

Monday we went to the Cedar City parade. The parade wasn't the greatest, but we had fun hanging out with Logan, Carolyn, and Daniel and a few of their friends.

Kambri was a good girl for most of the parade, except for when she tried to push Daniel down, take his toys, and grab his face. I'm glad he was a good sport about all of it.

They had a lot of fun play with the frisbees, after they each had their own and Kambri wasn't taking it away from Daniel.

Carolyn said one of these days she'll teach Daniel how to kiss the girls hand. I think Kambri was really just trying to eat his hands.

Every time we bring the camera out Kambri will get a smile on her face. She really likes getting her picture taken.

She got a few news toys over the break and they are now her new favorite toys. She got the balls and a walk and ride. She loves to push it around the house. She has started to push it and walk on her knees.

We kept Kambri up to watch the fireworks and she loved them. She loved to watch the colors. I wish we would have gone down to St. George to watch them, because the ones here sucked and only went on for 10-15 minutes.

We didn't go down to St. George to watch the fireworks, because we had to go down on Tuesday to get our car fixed. While down there we got a jogging stroller and have jogged almost every night. We are training to do a 5K next Saturday. I am way out of shape, so I hope I can make it. I haven't ran a 5k since I went to State for Cross Country my Senior year of High School. I am so excited to start running again!

Camping!

This weekend we were in charge of putting together our ward camp out. I never realized how much stress and work it is to pull together a big party. It was totally worth all the stress. I love our ward so much and the people in the ward. When we first moved into the ward we were gone a lot, so I didn't get to know people very well, which made me not like the ward. Now that we go to church and put ourselves out there to make friends we love the ward. The people are so friendly and you can always count on your visiting teachers and home teachers to come visit every month. If we could stay in our ward forever I'm sure we would.

There were only a few of us that stayed, but we had fun talking and roasting marshmallows. The only down fall of the night was putting our tent up. Our tent is really big, and not made for a one night camp. It took 4 of us to put that tent up. I think our next one night camp we will get a smaller tent.

Kambri did so good camping. She slept right in the middle of us and only cried once at night, but she was still asleep crying. It was super warm, and she slept with us, so she didn't get cold.

I forgot our pillows, so we used Kambri's extra blankets as our pillows, Obviously Kambri took over my pillow. The only other down fall was Kambri slept with her arms out, so me and Courtney only had a sliver of the bed each. The things parents do to keep their kids asleep. It turned out to be a really nice weekend.
