Baby #3

It was a long process of getting pregnant with another sweet baby, and as I was about to give up we were able to get pregnant with our now sweet baby. I know there is a reason for everything and I know there was a reason it took so long with many heartbreaks in between. On June 27, 2016 at 5:45 am we welcomed our sweet boy Easton Hayes Ivory into our family.
Easton was 3 days late, but my fastest labor coming in at just under 3 hours. I was actually set to be induced that day and was waiting for a call from the Hospital when I went into labor on my own. I had my first hard real contraction at 3 am. We arrived at the Hospital at 3:30 and I was already dilated to a 6. They asked if I wanted an epidural, which I hadn't planned on, but I thought why not and told them yes. Just before they placed the epidural I felt Easton move into place and my body started to push. I told them to just hurry with the epidural, but I shouldn't have, because it never kicked in. My doctor was ready to break my water, but I asked if they would wait for the epidural to kick in, but after awhile of it not kicking in I told them to just get it over with. I knew the contractions wouldn't hurt while I pushed.  After a few pushed his big head was out and the nurses started to push down on my stomach and I knew that he had Shoulder Dystocia. I'm thankful that my doctor was able to get him our safe. He came our weighing 8lb 12oz 21in long.
I am so glad that I didn't give up trying for our sweet rainbow baby. Kambri and Trace love him so much. They love seeing him first thing in the morning and they have to give him tons of hugs and kisses before bed. They both come running when he starts to cry and try to comfort him. When he wakes up from him nap and I feed him the flock to him and wont leave. I had to teach them to play again because they just want to sit and be with Easton all the time.
Easton is such a good baby. He is just like Kambri when she was a baby. He is starting to sleep 4 hours the first of the night, then every 2 hours after that. He is just content to sit and watch what is going on around him, and doesn't cry very much. He is just an easy baby. This has also been a very easy recovery and the first time I haven't have some kind of postpartum anxiety or depression. I told Courtney this is so easy I might think of having another baby. Or maybe not.
