Finals are finally over

Courtney has been working really hard this semester. For the last week and a half Courtney has been going to school at 8 and not getting home till 5 or 9. Even when he was home he would study until 12 or 1 in the morning. We have really missed having him home. Yesterday he finished his last final for the semester. When he came home he brought me flowers and Sparking Cider for putting up with him being gone. He is so sweet! Kambri was so happy that her daddy was home. They cuddled and then went out and played in the snow. After Kambri's nap we went to Carabba's to celebrate the end of the semester. Courtney has worked so hard and we are so proud of him. We hope the next 3 semester go by fast!

Ivory Family Christmas party

This weekend we headed to Fountain Green for the Ivory family Christmas part. We hadn't been in 3 years, so it was good to go and see family. Kambri had so much fun with her cousins. She loves to have tea parties, so her and Titus found the tea set and had a tea party. During dinner I went to find her and I found her in Great Grandma's beauty chair with grandma doing her hair! After dinner they had Santa come and bring gifts. She LOVED Santa, and loved opening her gift. Courtney and I can't wait for Christmas morning with our little girl!

Oh Christmas Tree!

The first week of December we decided to put our Christmas tree up. We have made it a tradition that we watch The Grinch while we put the tree up. Kambri was so afraid of the Grinch. She held her doll tight for most of the movie. Once we told her the Grinch was nice she has really taken a liking to  him. If she see the "Dinch" aka Grinch she talks to him. It's really cute.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we went to the Jeffs. Jennifer and Eric headed from Vegas Wednesday night and stayed at our place, so Thursday we all headed to Vernal. Thanksgiving is a little wild with all the kids, but it was still a lot of fun. Thursday night everyone but my mom and I headed to do some Black Friday shopping. They had a lot of fun and were able to get all the things they wanted and then some. It also happened to be Jennifer's 30th birthday, so we had a little party for her that night as well. It was nice to be able to relax and Kambri and Jordi loved having a backyard to play in and friends to play with!

Disney on Ice

A few months ago we got tickets to see Disney on Ice. For months we were so excited to go and it didn't disappoint. I was so afraid Kambri wouldn't sit through it and it would be a waste, but she did so good. She loved loved loved watching all the characters. We weren't surprised that her favorite act was all the princesses. After the short intermission she was getting a little tired, but she still loved it!
Love how this picture captures her excitement

First snow

We have been waiting for it to snow, but nothing ever happened until today! We are so glad it snowed and we were able to play in it. When we went to get all of our winter gear we found out we left it at Courtney's parents house. So, we bundled up as best we could and headed out. Kambri loved playing in the snow! We can't wait to have our winter gear and for it to snow more!

Play Time

I have pinned a lot of activities to do with Kambri on Pinterest, but had yet to do very many. Today we decided we would have a little fun with baking soda. Kambri loved to drop the vinegar in the baking soda and watch it bubble up. I think we'll be doing a lot of these over the winter.

Picnic

For some reason Kambri has really liked sitting on the floor to eat, so we decided to have a picnic. For weeks after we had our little picnic Kambri wanted to keep eating on the floor and would have a full blown out tantrum if we didn't let her. I'm glad she is finally growing out of that. Now we have the task of keeping her up to the table to eat and not running around to play.

Halloween

A few days before Halloween we decided to carve the pumpkins we got at the pumpkin patch. Kambri was not a fan of sticking her hand in the pumpkin to get the guts out. We tried to make her sick her hand in, but she just cried! So, Courtney and I got the pumpkins cleaned out and Kambri helped us carve.

Kambri was Snow White for Halloween this year. She loved dressing up! Our apartment complex had a small trunk or treat in the early afternoon that we went to. As you can see we didn't decorate our trunk, but we did have candy! After the trunk or treat we went to the Orem mall and went to the stores to trick or treat. Kambri had a lot of fun and we were overloaded with candy.

Corn Maze

Saturday we headed to Hee Haw Farms with a friend Courtney goes to school with and his family. It was so much fun getting out and hanging out with friends. Kambri and Kaden had fun running around the whole time we were there. Kambri had so much fun with Kaden she didn't even care when he tackled her! Kambri's favorite things to do was ride in the pig that was pulled by a lawn mower, the corn seed pit, and the corn maze. We will for sure have to do it again next year.

Best Friends

Trent, Natalie, Jantz and Roxie were able to come spend this last Friday night with us. All day before they got her Kambri couldn't stop talking about Jantz. Kambri and Jantz played hard all night and the next morning. It sure was nice for Kambri to have a friend to play with. Jordi even had fun with Roxie Saturday morning when they went outside to pee. Coutney and I loved having people to talk to other than each other. We will for sure have to plan more trips to see them.

Kambri 2!

Kambri is now officially 2 years old. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone. Kambri is starting to be a big talker now. She is finally starting to put sentences together. Yesterday she said "Jantz come sit couch". Some of her favorite things to say are: "Alright!", "So....", "sure", "mama, mere" (come here), "Oh man!", purple (every color is purple), "I wan purple, I wan white", "miss you...lots", Lella (Cinderella) and she loves to sing "I'm Wishing" off of Snow White and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (Twinchle Twinchle, How I...). I'm sure there are many other I have forgot.

Kambri is starting to love babies. She is so sweet with both of her babies. She will rock them and feed them and put them to bed. It is the cutest thing when she rocks her babies to sleep. She will hold them so their face is in her chest and just hold so tight and rock back and forth. If she is eating something good she will always share with her babies and then tell us "mmm good baby".

Kambri is really big into helping me cook. She will always pull a chair up to the counter and watch/help me cook. I made spaghetti sauce and Kambri had to help me stir stir stir. She sat and stirred for about 20 minutes. She also likes to help me roll out dough. I made rolls and she was such a big help rolling out the dough.

Kambri has always loved books, but the last few months she is starting to be more in love with them. She has started making Courtney and I read to her before both her nap and bedtime. After we read her a book or two or three she has to have a book to read herself until she falls asleep. We often find her cuddled with her book when we go check in on her. Her favorite book is Princess Collection. It's a book we have full of princess stories.

Kambri for sure a mama's girl. She always has to be next to her mom and always wants to be held by her mom. She will only love her dad for a few hours after he gets home from school. By the end of the few hours she is doe with him because he does something she like and he knows it, but keeps doing it. For example he will tickle her and she is half cry laughing instead of stopping after a few tickles he keeps going and going. When Courtney is at school Kambri is often found looking for her dad or saying daddy miss you lots or I want daddy.

Kambri has fallen in love with dancing. Once a day we will turn on the music and dance. Her favorite thing to do is twirl in circles until she is dizzy and tell us that she is dizzy and fall over. If she hears any music at all she will get up and start to dance. Kambri really loves to dance with her cousin and they often have dance parties when they get together.

Kambri is really into princesses. She loves to watch her princess movies. A few weeks ago she was really into Snow White and Beauty and the Beast. She is now into Cinderella and Tangled. She still can't sit through the whole movie but she loves to have it on and listen to the music. Kambri got a Princess castle for her birthday and she is loving playing with the princesses and making them dance. We bought her Beast and Belle to go with her castle and in the car she kissed Beast. I am pretty sure Beast is her all time favorite.

Sunday's are hard days for us because church is at 1 which is Kambri's nap time. For the last few months we have just been walking to church and Kambri will fall asleep for sacrament. There have been a few times that Kambri hasn't fallen asleep and by the time we get home she is very  much in need of a nap. If she sits on the couch for more than a few minutes she will fall asleep. We try not to let her fall asleep because it's so late in the day and boy does she get mad at us. Let's hope for the next few month she take her sacrament naps.

Kambri is such a sweet little girl and everyday I am so happy to be with her. I couldn't imagine my life without her. I never want to be away from her because I'm afraid I will miss a funny things she says or does.

Halloween Cruise

Courtney won a Halloween cruise on the Provo river from school, we wanted to do it for Kambri's birthday, but had to opt for the night before. So, Wednesday night he headed for the Provo river for our "cruise". It was just a guy pulling a boat up and down the river for about 20 minutes. It's a good thing it was free, because it wasn't anything we would ever pay for.
