Camping!

This weekend we were in charge of putting together our ward camp out. I never realized how much stress and work it is to pull together a big party. It was totally worth all the stress. I love our ward so much and the people in the ward. When we first moved into the ward we were gone a lot, so I didn't get to know people very well, which made me not like the ward. Now that we go to church and put ourselves out there to make friends we love the ward. The people are so friendly and you can always count on your visiting teachers and home teachers to come visit every month. If we could stay in our ward forever I'm sure we would.

There were only a few of us that stayed, but we had fun talking and roasting marshmallows. The only down fall of the night was putting our tent up. Our tent is really big, and not made for a one night camp. It took 4 of us to put that tent up. I think our next one night camp we will get a smaller tent.

Kambri did so good camping. She slept right in the middle of us and only cried once at night, but she was still asleep crying. It was super warm, and she slept with us, so she didn't get cold.

I forgot our pillows, so we used Kambri's extra blankets as our pillows, Obviously Kambri took over my pillow. The only other down fall was Kambri slept with her arms out, so me and Courtney only had a sliver of the bed each. The things parents do to keep their kids asleep. It turned out to be a really nice weekend.

Father's Day

Father's Day was a good day. Well I think it was a good day. We didn't do anything special, but we did just sit around.
I really love Courtney and all he does for our family. There is no one in the whole world that is as wonderful as he is. He is the most amazing dad and husband. I wonder all the time how I got so lucky to have this amazing man as my husbad. He is so patient with me and doesn't look down on me for some of the things that happend in my past. I love you Courtney.

8 Months

I know I am a little behind, but with school and work it's been hard to keep the blog updated. Kambri is now 8 months. She is SO big. I love to watch her explore and learn new things. Kambri can crawl and she now gets into everything.

When Kambri starts to get into things she shouldn't we say "Kambri No". She then makes sound like she is saying no. She always looks at us like she is innocent when she is doing something she shouldn't be doing.

She has been holding her own bottle for months now, but she is too busy now and will put it down and play. I have to hold her bottle for her and give her something to play with so she will eat all her bottle. Her favorite thing to play with is my nose.
Kambri has a hard time eating green vegetables and will spit them back at us if we try to feed them to her. We try to out smart her and will try to make her laugh the whole time we feed her so we can shove the food in her mouth. Her favorite things to eat are applesauce, pears, Mangos, bananas (whole ones), crackers, bread, and really anything that we are eating.
Kambri still doesn't have teeth and doesn't show any sign of teeth. I keep hearing that the later teeth come in the healthier they are. I guess it's a good thing she doesn't have them yet.
When she gets done eating we will go to pull her out of her Bumbo, but her thighs are so big that she gets stuck. We have been looking for a high chair, but have yet to buy one.

One Sunday we were at a baby blessing for our friends, and we were feeding Kambri oyster crackers and she started to choke on them. I walked out to the foyer thinking it had got it out of her, but she starts to choke again, so I turn her over and Pat her back and she thews up her cracker in my hand. I just sat there in shock crying with Kambri and all these people are just looking at me walking by. I felt like I was on the show What Would You Do. Finally this old guy asked if I had a burb cloth and went and got me a paper towel to wipe up the throw up. What an experience.

Kambri absolutely loves to be outside. She gets so excited and says "gee" over and over until we get outside. She thinks Jordi is so funny when he is outside because he shakes his whole body. She also loves the wind in her hair. She looks like she has a wig on when the wind blows. She has so much fluffy hair on the top of her head.
Kambri can't wear bows in her hair anymore, because she pulls them out and eats them. Yet another experience of her choking. I guess I really need to watch this little baby.

She loves grass and thinks it's the coolest thing. If we set her on a blanket she is off it in a few minutes trying to eat the grass. If you stand her up to walk with her she gets so happy she is walking on the grass.

Kambri was getting a little too small for her car seat, so my mom got her a convertible car seat. It's really nice to have and I think she likes it because she is a little taller and can see herself in the mirror. The only thing I don't like is when she sleeps her head falls forward. It looks so uncomfortable.

She has turned into a big helper. She helps her dad unfold the folded clothes. She helps pulls out all toys after they get put away. She helps her mom make pie, and helps put the dishes away.

Her best friend is Jordi. She crawls after him all the time. He really does not like that she can crawl after him now. He is always moving from one spot to the next. I think he is relieved when she goes down for a nap. Kambri takes three naps a day and if she doesn't she is not a happy girl. To keep her happy at night we will try to get out of the house and keep her occupied.

We love this little girl so much. I couldn't imagine my life without her and Courtney. Courtney is such a good dad. He is patient with her and loves her so much. I can't wait to see what other things she starts to learn.

Friends

We have lived in Cedar for a few years now, and I have come to the conclusion that we are terrible at making friends. I think we are fun to hang out with. Anyways, until Natalie and Trent moved here we didn't do anything with anyone. We have a lot of fun hanging out with them. Through them have become friends with Ryan and Megan. We have all hung out a few times and we always have fun. The last time we hung out we played Croquet. We lost, but it was still a lot of fun.

This is the whole group.

Kambri has started to rock the side pony. I think it's so cute, but so hard to do her hair.

My First Party

Kambri attended Rheagan's 3rd Birthday a few weeks ago and she loved it! Okay so I don't know if she really loved it, but she sure did like all the new food she was able to taste, like Watermelon.

Austin and Kambri playing with Rheagan's new ball she got for her birthday. Rheagan was so nice to share with the little girls.

All the little girls minus Hayley. Not sure why Hayley wasn't in the picture. I promise Austin wasn't mad that Rheagan is kissing her she is mad she is on the grass. Austin hates the grass.

Kambri's new love is swinging. She thinks it's the coolest thing ever. We have been to the park a few times since she learned to swing at grandma and grandpa's house.

My New Work Vehicle

We have been wanting to get me a new work vehicle since about March, because gas prices just keep raising. If you know me I will want something for a long time, but I wont buy it because I always think there is a better deal out there. One day we were on KSL and came across a really good deal, so we just broke down and bought it.

Isn't it a beauty? We love it!

It just so happens that Trent and Natalie got one the week before, so when we got ours Courtney and Trent had to take them for a ride!

We love the Scooter and it really has saved on gas. I'm sure glad I didn't look for a better deal and just bought it!
