Random Ramblings

We've lived in Provo for almost two weeks now. My attitude and idea of Provo has totally changed in that two weeks. I don't love Provo, but I do like it. Our ward is amazing and Kambri is now going to nursery. It's nice to be close to our family. We have seen our family more in the last three weeks than we did in the last 6 months.

I thought staying at home would be so so boring, but I was wrong. Being a stay at home mom is lots of work. I have worked harder in the last month staying home than I did when I had a real job. Its fun trying to keep Kambri busy all day so she doesn't cry because she is bored. Kambri loves loves loves Minnie Mouse, but since we have lived here we have yet to get cable. We only have one Mickey Mouse movie and if I have to hear "tick tock tick tock time to fix the coo coo clock" one more time I'm going to lose it. We HAVE to get cable soon!

One day when Kambri sees this she is gong to die because I put this on the Internet.
We got Kambri a potty and underwear so I could start potty training her. I have yet to start, but we do put the underwear on her and she has learned to take her diaper off. One day after we got home from the park I took her pants off because they were dirty and just put her down for her morning nap in her shirt. I went to check on her and I found here like this (see picture above). If anyone has some tips about potty training let me know! I hope to start next week.

Now that I am home all day I am able to sweep 3 times a day; mop, vacuum and clean the bathrooms a few times a week. I am loving being able to clean my house more often. It's needed when you have a little girl who will not keep her food on her plate and she loves to throw her food when she is either done or is mad because she doesn't like what we gave her to eat.

I have really enjoyed our new adventure, but I really miss having people to talk to. Since I was little I have loved to talk, but Kambri is the only one I have to talk to now. Courtney is gone from 8-5 most days at school studying and keeping up with his school work. I'm sure my sisters are sick of me calling all the time to talk. It's a good thing Kambri and I will now be going to a play group.

Courtney's first day of PT school

Courtney had his first day of PT school today. He said he is really going to enjoy going to school. He has been so excited he came home today and showed me this anatomy lab he does online. I think I'll be hearing a lot about what he learns at school!

Moving

This week we moved to Provo. I was not excited to move at all. I do not like Provo, I'm glad we will only be here for a few years.

We have been packing a little here and there for a few weeks. On Monday we really started to get everything packed for our move on Wednesday.

When Wednesday came we picked up the moving truck and started to get the truck load. Jordi was so worried he kept following me in and out of the house. After we got to Provo he was so sick I felt so bad for him.

Our help consisted of my mom watching Kambri, Courtney, Ryan and I. It was a lot of work, but we got it done in only 2 hours. I'm glad we didn't have that much to pack. I am so thankful that Ryan came to help us, because there was no way I could lift some of the furniture.

Wednesday Courtney's parents and Trent came up to Provo to help us unload. I am so glad that we had them here to help us.

So far we have liked our apartment. Today was the first of many days I will be very annoyed with our neighbors. I guess that's what you get when you live on the first floor in an apartment. I am also starting to notice that we don't live in the nicest neighborhood.

Our very small living room. It only fits the couch and TV

I love being a stay at home mom, but I don't know if I can just stay in all day everyday. I really need to make some friends up here. If not, I see long days of watching Mad Men and movies like Hope Floats.

Graduation Weekend

Courtney and I graduated from SUU May 4th and 5th. Friday we attended commencement. I think it was way too long.

After the commencement we had a BBQ at our house with a few of our friends and family. We decided that our place was too small for everyone, so we braved the wind and had it at the playground in our complex.

After about 30 minutes of the wind we all retreated back to our small apartment. It was so much fun have our close friends and family there. Kambri had so much fun playing with her cousins and friend Ella.

Friday was my mom's birthday, so when we went to eat Saturday they sang to her

Saturday was the college graduations. Since Courtney and I were graduating from different colleges we decided he would walk with my college. They were so confused when they read his name and wasn't from the college of humanities.

Now Courtney and I have graduated with two useless degrees. I'm glad Courtney is going to PT school. I would really like to go back to school and do something with business. Maybe one day I can go back.

We are really thankful for our friends and family that came to support us!
